Today marks one of the most significant moments in our fight to remove last resort Builders Warranty Insurance from the Australian consumer protection landscape.

Senator Christine Milne (Green) put the motion at this link to the Senate today calling for a Senate Inquiry. The motion was passed with the full support of the Government, the Liberal Party, Greens and Democrats.

The powers of a Senate Committee are wide ranging and will ensure that this inquiry will be like no other inquiry ever before conducted. The full list of standing orders are at this link for those that are interested:

The Builders Collective of Australia congratulate all Senators for standing up for the community interest on this issue and we look forward to working with the inquiry over the coming weeks.

Thank you for your support and we will keep you informed of developments as they occur.
